21 Feb This weird tapping thing!
I absolutely love tapping and the powerful effects it has on our emotions. Tapping was one of the very first tools I learnt in order to let go of toxic emotions I had hidden and pushed to the side for many many years. In fact, it was when I stumbled across this very summit, the Tapping World Summit, that I experienced a tapping meditation by Jessica Ortner around Guilt. It literally brought me to tears, I remember sobbing so hard – it was the first time I had allowed myself to truely FEEL what was going on inside of me and allow it to release. True healing is certainly no glamorous process . It can be heavy, deep and ugly at times. Allow yourself to feel whatever you feel and don’t hide it, don’t be ashamed of it. It is absolutely worth the pain at the time I promise you!! No one can do the healing for you, it’s a process we must do on our own but we can surround ourselves with supportive people who can help guide us through the process and arm ourselves with tools and knowledge to allow the process to be a little easier. We must feel to heal as Louise Hay would say.
Yes I felt completely ridiculous when I first started using tapping and I prayed that no one would see me doing it but it worked! I couldn’t believe something so simple could make such profound shifts. It’s a tool that I have gone on to teach my kids to help them with their emotions and it’s something I continue to teach in my 1:1 sessions.
